His excellency Noynoy Aquino (Benigno S. Aquino) is the 15th President of the Philippines. The President whose slogans is "Tuwid na daan" or "Right path". He chose to be right, speak his mind and an incredible critiques of the past administration (Administration of former President of the Philippines Gloria Macapal -Arroyo) and The Philippine neighbor (China).
He was born from a prominent family in the Philippines who's mother is the former President (Corazon Aquino) and the father was a Senator (Ninoy Aquino). Both parents of Noynoy Aquino contributes to the Philippines Democracy that the people are currently enjoying.
Noynoy Aquino graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with the degree of Bachelor of Arts Major in Economics in 1981 where his mentor is the former President Gloria Macapal - Arroyo. However, due to the political turmoil during that time, his family was forced to exile in the United States of America. He returned back in the Philippines in 1983 after the assassination of his father (Ninoy Aquino).
In 1998, he run for the 2nd district of Tarlac as representative and won the election. He was reelected in 2001 and 2004 to finished his 2nd and 3rd term.In 2007, he run for the national position of senator and won as rank 6th in the senatorial race.
During his time as a senator, he was able to pass the Senate Bill 3121(Budget Impoundment and Control Act), Senate Bill 2035 (Preservation of Public Infrastructures Bill) and support the passage of Senate Bill 2160 (Amending the Government Procurement Act).
During this time also, his mother became sick and in August 1, 2009 his mother Corazon Aquino given in to the call of her creator and passed away. This event has lead some people to call for him to run for the highest post of the country, The President of The Philippines. The president of his party (Liberal Party) Mar Roxas heard and heed the call of the people to support Noynoy Aquino to run for President. Thus, Mar Roxas withdraw from his Presidential bid and gave way to Noynoy Aquino to run for President.
At first, he was in doubt whether to heed the call or not. He seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit and went in spiritual retreat with the help of the Carmelite Sisters of Zamboanga City. He came back in September 9, 2009 and formally announces his candidacy for President of the Philippines. More than a week after, Mar Roxas declares to run alongside with Noynoy Aquino.
During the campaign period of Election 2010, several attempts of dissuading the public of the image of Noynoy Aquino where it claims that he has a psychological problem. However, many of these attempts were thwarted and it was never proved to be true and during the election day, Noynoy Aquino won as the President-elect of the Philippines.
As the sworn 15ht President of the Philippines, He is much aggressive in fighting against corruption. He lash out at the former administration of their corruption during the 9 years of staying in the Malacanang Palace.
He fights corruption seriously. Force the resignation of Mercedita Gutierez as Ombudsman in which she failed to uphold here duty as the Ombudsman under the former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. She was replaced by Conchita Morales.
During his administration, with the help of the senate under the leadership of Juan Ponce Enrile, the Chief Justice Renato Corona appointed by former President Gloria Macapal-Arroyo (midnight appointment) where impeached due to non-disclosure of assets. After that, the former President Gloria Macapal-Arroyo were also filed by many cases under the new leadership of Ombudsman Conchita Morales.
He accomplished many things also other than fighting corruption in the government. He was able to lift the status of the Philippines as "the sick man of Asia" to one of the brightest economy of Asia. The Philippines achieved many upgrade ratings from several organization pertaining countries performance worldwide.
In military or in national security, under his administration, he was able to provide equipment to the Armed Forces of the Philippines to withstand the challenges that threatens the countries national security especially in the West Philippine Sea. He was able to purchase a warship from US (though refurbish), modernize AFP equipment particularly the Coast Guard, Able to make pact with several country to strengthen ties and security, able to add more equipment to boost national security to address the problem in the West Philippine Sea and much more...
He is the only President of the Philippines that were able for perform and dwarf most of the achievement of the previous administration.
